For the second time in less than a week, Ryan Knutson, a reporter for the University of whOregon Daily Emerald has scooped Greg Bolt, a reporter for the Eugene inbredgister guard.
Last week, Mr. Knutson reported on City Councilor Alan Zelenka's supporting the Fairmont Neighborhood Association request that the UO obtain a conditional use permit prior to receiving the city's approval to construct a 400,000 square foot, 12,500 seat, $250 million basketball arena on Franklin Boulevard, a primary transportational artery that runs along the Willamette River. Mr. Bolt did not.
Today, Ryan scooped Greg Bolt, David Steves and Edward Russo and all of the other inbredgister guard reporters who have been covering frohnmayer's boondoggle since early february by alerting us to the Oregon State Board of Higher Education meeting on May 1-2 where the UO will request permission to "seek state Emergency Board authority to expand the expenditure limitation to net $18 million in Other Funds for the parking structure project, originally authorized by the 2003 Legislature."
